It’s time to help the bees, here’s how
The first thing is to be aware that the bees are in danger. The second thing is to learn more. The third thing is to take action.
If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”
― Albert Einstein
The latest reports are not good. Recent data shows a 4 percent decline in US bee colony numbers. Colony collapse disorder, when the bees desert the queen in the hive, is becoming alarmingly widespread. And nobody knows why.
We do know that certain pesticides are especially harmful to bees, so they should not be used. We also know that we can help bees by creating bee-friendly gardens and green spaces. And we can ensure a future for all species by aiming to live in harmony with nature.
